Lisa? Lou wanted Maureen, not Lisa. Then he remembered. Last night. That Chidi bastard. Lisa might tell on them. They really ought to kill her.
But she wasn't like Maureen. She wasn't tall and slim and beautiful. She was short and her tits were too big.
'I want N'reen,' he said.
'Tough shit. You should've thought of that before you let her get away. Now let's move it!' He kick-started his Harley. Its engine thundered.
Doug clamped his butcher knife between his teeth as if he were a pirate. Then he mounted up.
Lou stepped to his bike. He swung a leg over it, and lowered his rump against the warm puddle gathered on its seat.
He wished he could stay behind. Maybe he could find Maureen.
But he didn't want to be left alone.
There might be others around like that horrible man in the alley.
Besides, Maureen might be far away by now. Better Lisa than nobody, even if she was kind of a pig.
She's babysitting, Lou reminded himself. Won't be alone. There'll be a kid, maybe a couple of them. Maybe girls.
Yeah!
He pushed the fork under his belt so it pressed against his side like a saber, then fished out his keys.
