'You might want to put the chain on after we're gone,' John called. He opened the door and followed Lynn outside. |

As the door began to swing shut, Kara shouted, 'THEY'RE GONE! LET'S PARTY!' |

Denise heard a burst of laughter from John. Then the door bumped shut. |

'I'll go ahead and commit so we can look at the tape. Or do you want to play some Mario?' |

'Maybe later. I'll go and put on the chain.' |

|

As she started to get up, Kara said, 'I'll do it,' leaped to her feet and ran for the door. |

'I'm glad to see your mood's improved,' Lynn said as John backed his car out of the driveway. |

'Looking forward to a good dinner.' He steered onto the street and started forward. 'We could've had that at home, of course, and without the hassle. I imagine Kara and Denise will have themselves a great time.' |
