Lynn stopped and unbuttoned her coat. John took it from her, and she stuffed her shawl down one of the sleeves.
'Aren't you going to wear that?'
'I don't think so. It's nice and warm in here.'
Everyone in the restaurant would probably end up staring at her. Men with dreams of invisibility were likely to fantasize about watching her shower.
'I think you ought to wear it. That dress is awfully revealing.'
'Oh, don't be such a stick in the . . .'
A slam of thunder shut off her voice.
